Reverend Mary Washam is Pastor and Founder of Hope Christian Tabernacle Church, located at 2222 W. Master Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is a community advocate and human service professional.
Reverend Washam is a consultant for Temple University, Center for Social Policy which specializes in Child Abuse and Neglect, and Intervention with Substance Abusing families. This Center also trains person in interdisciplinary programs as well as early childhood education. She conducts conferences, workshops, and seminars for the Center. She coordinates community projects which address numerous issues, such as housing, economic development, community organizing, etc.
She serves on various boards and advisory councils which includes diversity such as police clergy, The United Way— Love for Children, and Non-Violence Committee. Reverend Washam is dean of Hope Bible Institute. She is the Principal and CEO of Hope Christian Academy.
Reverend Washam hold a Masters and PH. D in Religious Education from United Bible College and Seminary. She also holds CEU’s and CAC’s in drug/alcohol intervention with substance abusing families.
Reverend Washam has been recognized for services by numerous individuals and private community organizations for devoted community outreach which informs, supports, and empowers families to cope with the present tensions of daily life.
